Exam Schedule – Please review the January 2020 Exam Schedule carefully and confirm the time and location with your teacher. You must write your exam during the scheduled date/time unless you have spoken to Ms. Thompson regarding extenuating circumstances.

Study Skills – Speak to your teacher about study skills and strategies that are specific to your course and exam. If you need study tips, talk to your MSIP teacher.

Attendance - If you are unable to write an exam due to illness, you must provide a medical note before arrangements will be made for you to write the missed exam. Holidays, work, or sleeping-in are NOT acceptable reasons for missing an exam. Failure to provide the required documentation may result in a ZERO being assigned on the missed exam.

Be on Time – Arrive to your classroom no less than 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your exam. Period 1 exam begins at 12:15 pm. All other exams begin at 8:30 am.

Be Prepared – Make sure you bring all materials that you need to do your exam (i.e., pens, pencils, calculator, ruler, etc.). Electronic devices such as cell phones and iPods are not permitted in the exam. Lock these items away securely or leave them at home.

Length of Exam – Students must remain in their exam room for the first 60 minutes. If you complete your exam early, remain quiet; you must offer everyone who is still writing their exams the same silence and respect you received while you were writing yours. If you anticipate completing your exam prior to the allotted time, arrive prepared with a book or magazine to read.

Textbooks and Novels – Textbooks and novels should be returned to your teacher prior to the beginning of each exam. Students will be responsible for paying the cost of lost textbooks and novels.

Exam Expectations – Students should make every attempt to complete the entire exam. Look over the questions carefully and do not leave anything blank. Always try to do your best. Students who are asked to leave an exam room due to inappropriate/disruptive behaviour may not be permitted to complete the remainder of the exam.

Exam Review – Students may review their completed and marked exams from 12:30 - 1:30 on Thursday, January 30th, 2020. Please note that you will NOT receive your final course marks at this time.

Semester II – The second semester begins on Monday, February 3, 2020
